Camera in Online Mode

Hi Kotai,
because we are going to stream MRO events on twitch from now, i have a question.

Would it be possible for you, to adjust the camera on other drivers in online game so it doesn't jump from frame to frame, but somehow moves smarter? Or even a free camera mode? I hope you know what i mean

The camera is not free, it is the property of cars, therefore in the center of the screen there must always be a car, the one with the camera at the time.

The question is: Are there some things you could do in the future to improve?

Ideas:
- Smoother cam: The camera doesn't jump every frame directly to the centre of the car, but moves a bit more slowly from the position of the last frame towards the centre of the car (avoid jumping because of online)
- Simulate something like an invisible car for the spectator to have a free camera
- Let the camera jump to another car when the focused car retires
- Let the camera jump to other cars randomly from time to time in spectator mode (to have something like a tv camera)

After streaming Ripej race yesterday evening I have further ideas and things that i saw. I hope it's ok to use this thread for several things:

Camera:
- Jump to specific driver by clicking on their name or maybe to first 9 drivers by num pad

Other stuff:
- In Spectator Mode cars disappear after finishing. Would be nice if they continue driving, like when you driving on your own and finishing.
- Would be very great to have deltas of drivers on the left HUD during race.
- Maybe it's possible to highlight the current driver in the HUD on the left? I think this would help in racing, too so you can find better which position you drive. I know on the right top is an info, too. Just thinking it could be clearer.

Bugs:
- The sound and speed freezes as long as a driver doesn't steer. So the sound is jumping on straights.
- Sometimes crews disappear for the spectator during a pit stop.

I know it's not that important for you at the moment, bringing out new online. But I think good streams could bee door openers for MRO in the future, because meanwhile streaming is very popular in gaming.

I saw, that the result-file is generated parallel to the race. That's nice becaus so it's possible for me to write scripts to pop up different things in livestream.

But on wednesday it wasn't generated during the race. Am I right, that it was because of spectating and not driving on myself? And would it be possible for you, Kotai, to generate it for spectators, too?
