I'll be changing a lot of these posts since the videos are gone due to Myspace / Youtube deleting them. I'll eventually replace them with updated videos k. I hate having posts where the links are broken. xD

This one is on the freeway, and much faster...

Notapor F2000 » Dom Sep 09, 2007 12:13 pm

Here's 2 laps @ Infineon in the Formula 2000, but this was the old track layout. Turn 9 is still used and is still my 2nd favorite part of the track since I got my first black flag for "multi-car passing" in that curve.

Formula 2000 Mazda

I got the black flag, for passing 3 cars, 2 were battling already with 1 car that was 3 car lengths behind in the "stand-by" slot waiting for the first 2 cars to finish the battle, waiting for an opportunity to pass.

I got mad impatient after 2 laps, I knew the 2nd car would not pass the lead car, and that the 3rd car in front of me wouldn't make a move unless the first 2 cars spread apart atleast 2 car lengths.

It's in the rulebook, can't pass2 cars battling, or within 2 car lengths of each other. If you come up behind a battle for position, wait 3 car lengths behind for a chance to pass safely.

after 1 more lap, I was like f**ck this sh**t, I downshifted to 4th and kept it in high rpm's through the high-speed S-turns 7-to-8b, I setup the car in front (3rd place), and lead him to the outside of turn 8b as I dove inside flooring it.

I only intended to pass him, but I realized I had enough speed to possibly pass the first 2 cars, (1st & 2nd), but I couldn't do it safely since if the 2nd place car would have pulled out to pass, he would have hit me without knowing I was there.

I said to myself "might as well make it count" so I kept the pedal to the floor, all 4 of us were doing over 150 mph (like 220-230 kph), and I was able to pull off the pass just before we all had to brake for the practice chicane in turn 10.

It felt soooo good to make that pass, only to come off turn 11 and right into my first penalty as the flagman in the pitlane had the black flag out waving, and my car number on the pitboard.

I learned at that moment that open-wheel racing is a serious sport, in which the rules are there for safety, not just to keep amateurs from crashing. At high speed, the distances from car-to-car is the difference between life & death in the event of an accident. =]

This one is in very bad driving conditions

Notapor F2000 » Dom Sep 09, 2007 12:15 pm

These are vids of how I used to practice my driving technique also known as "racecraft". Yah I know doing it on the streets is not exactly the best idea, that's why I chose mountain passes / cliffsides (touge), that are hardly traveled by cross-traffic, and rarely patrolled by po-po's.

Getaway In Stockholm

Notapor F2000 » Dom Sep 09, 2007 12:17 pm

Getaway In Stockholm series - Part 1

A porsche 911 is pulled over, however when the cops get out to speak to the driver, he throws it in reverse, peels out and ditches the cops in under a minute. They catch up later, however can't quite keep up with the nimble handling of the porsche as it tears through the streets of Stockholm...

Thanks lil bro!!! =D I actually want to drive the Le Mans Open Prototype P1 cars... I think Formula 1 is too hard for me... I always wanted to drive an LMP car though, ever since I was a kid...
